Man Films Dramatic Moment Flash Flood Hits His Montecito Home

A man filmed the dramatic moment a flash flood hit his home in Montecito, California, on Tuesday, January 9, as the town endured storms and mudslides. Marco Farrell captured the water, carrying mud and debris, cascading down the road as he stood on his driveway. In the footage, just before the water emerges, he can be heard shouting at a nearby motorist: "The flash flood is right there! Get out of here! Go!" The vehicle is seen reversing away from a wave of water and debris barrelling down the road.
