Hurricane Ian Wall of Hope

The community of Fort Myers gathered at the Wall of Hope where they could attach flowers and Messages to a fence To honor the victims who lost their lives in the hurricane both human and animal. The flowers were all donated. The organizer, Leo Soto, has some similar walls In other cities with tragedies. Families brought their children to decorate and one entire neighborhood from Estero (just south of Fort Myers) came to add to the wall. Victims / Pets photos were also part of the memorial. Meanwhile Centennial Park’s playground is closed due to extensive damage from the hurricane. The park is located along the Caloosahatchee River which bleeds into the Gulf of Mexico.
