The Emerging Leaders of United Way of Southwest Alabama teamed up with Educational Resources and Goodwill Gulf Coast (GGC) to stuff backpacks for 46 children from several GGC preschool programs who are getting ready to start kindergarten! Educational Resources provided many school supplies and volunteered alongside Emerging Leaders and United Way’s volunteer team. These kindergarteners are now ready for their first day of school! Thank you to everyone who made this possible! 🎒📚

There were lei’d back vibes at the Kaleidoscope Goodwill Gulf Coast luau party as our participants tested their limbo skills! 🌺🌴🌊

Goodwill Gulf Coast recently expanded the Kaleidoscope “Adult Day Program” and we are accepting new applications for this program! The program provides a social and recreational outlet for adults with disabilities to stay active and to give their parents the ability to keep working during the day, knowing their loved one is active, safe, and happy! YouthWorks Mission Youth visited Goodwill Gulf Coast for several weeks this summer to volunteer as “Job Coaches” for our Kaleidoscope Goodwill Gulf Coast participants. They assisted in the completion of a large hanger sorting project and helped our participant job trainees earn a paycheck in the process! Picking up their paychecks was a celebration for everyone! 🎉

Thank you to YouthWorks for helping our Kaleidoscope participants receive job training and some income!
