Free-Standing and Slide-In Electric and Gas Ranges - December 2021 Voluntary Recall

GE Appliances, a Haier company has announced a voluntary recall of certain free-standing and slide-in ranges manufactured from May to June 2021 and sold in the U.S. As part of our commitment to product safety and loyalty to our consumers, we are voluntarily recalling affected units to provide a free in-home repair. The recall is being conducted in cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission.

These recalled ranges were sold under various brand names including GE, GE Profile, Café, Haier, Hotpoint, Crosley and Conservator.

Please read this notice carefully and enter your model and serial numbers below to determine if your range is affected.

Reason for recall:

In some installations, the ranges can tip over when a heavy weight is placed on an open oven door, posing a risk of tip over and burn injuries from hot food or liquids in cookware. No injuries or incidents have been reported.

Consumers can continue to use the ranges but are cautioned not to place any objects on the open oven door until the range’s anti-tip bracket has been inspected and repaired if necessary.

Is your range included in the recall?

Locate your range’s Model and Serial number. Depending on your model, the model and serial numbers can be found on a label visible on each unit. Depending on the model, this label is on the left-hand side or top right when the oven door is opened, or on the left-hand side when the bottom drawer is opened.

NOTE: Pay special attention to the serial number. Only ranges with a model number that begins with the information below AND with a serial number that starts with either “HS” or “LS” are included in this recall.

Both fields are required.
