NOTICE OF PROPERTY TAX INCREASE
The Fulton County Board of Education has tentatively adopted a millage rate which will require an increase in property taxes by 3.67 percent.
All concerned citizens are invited to the public hearing on this tax increase to be held at South Learning Center, 4025 Flat Shoals Road, Union City, Georgia on July 18, 2024, at 6:00 p.m.
Time and place of additional public hearings on this tax increase is at North Learning Center, 450 Northridge Parkway, Sandy Springs, Georgia on August 6, 2024, at 11:30 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.
This tentative increase will result in a millage rate of 17.130 mills, an increase of 0.606 mills. Without this tentative tax increase, the millage rate will be no more than 16.524 mills. The proposed tax increase for a home with a fair market value of $450,000 is approximately $107 and the proposed tax increase for non-homestead property with a fair market value of $450,000 is approximately $109.
The proposed millage rate of 17.13 is less than our current millage rate of 17.14.
