Voters in 15 US states are participating in Republican primary elections on Tuesday. The eventual winner is likely to face president Joe Biden in November’s general election.

Voters are electing delegates to July’s Republican convention that selects the party’s nominee. The Super Tuesday primaries will allocate 865 delegates towards the 1,215 needed to secure the nomination.

Former president Donald Trump entered Super Tuesday with 273 delegates, but continues to be challenged by Nikki Haley, who had won 43 delegates from states that had voted earlier.
