Dominique Newland
Dominique Newland joined the FOX 10 news team in December of 2023 as a weekend anchor and reporter.
Dominique is over the moon to be back in the Valley! She first started her journalism career down the road at KYMA in Yuma, Arizona as a morning anchor. In those two years, she covered a variety of stories about immigration, agriculture, and presidential visits.
She went on to work as a weekend morning anchor and reporter at KVUE, the ABC affiliate in Austin, Texas. Throughout her time there, Dominique was chosen to travel to San Antonio and cover a national story where 51 migrants were found dead in a semitruck trailer. She performed wall-to-wall coverage for affiliate stations nationwide. She was also credited with being one of the first reporters on the scene of a massive tornado in 2022 that affected the town of Round Rock. Also, while in Austin, Dominique conducted various celebrity red carpet interviews, emceed galas, covered movies premieres and music festivals.
Dominique grew up in Carmel, Indiana. She graduated from Indiana University with a bachelor’s degree in Journalism. She served on the executive board for her college's National Association of Black Journalists (NABJ) chapter. Dominique is still a proud member of NABJ.
Outside of work, you can find Dominique shopping at local farmer's markets, traveling, checking out new restaurants and speakeasy's and patiently waiting for Beyoncé's next concert dates.
