Martha L. Bruno, 90, died on July 3, 2024 at Brigham Health and Rehabilitation in Newburyport, MA. She was born in Exeter, NH on June 23, 1934, the daughter of the late Walter and Gladys (Woods) Goodwin. She grew up in Newmarket and graduated from Newmarket High School. In 1953 she married Marcel D. Bruno. They resided several years in Exeter and moved to Epping in 1964. She lived in Epping until 2021 when she moved to Newburyport.

Martha worked for 27 years at Clemson Fabrics in Exeter, and 18 years in housekeeping at the Exeter Hospital. An avid Red Sox fan, she was formerly a member of the Exeter Bowling League. She enjoyed dancing and listening to her husband play and sing at the Eagle’s Club in Newmarket. She also enjoyed gardening and was a member of the Spacetown Beagle Club. A devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, she loved spending time with her grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband Marcel D. Bruno who died in 2012. She is survived by two sons, Timothy K. Bruno and his wife Sue of Nottingham, NH and William H. Bruno and his wife Becky of Epping, NH; 3 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, and 3 great-great grandchildren.

Calling hours will be held on Saturday, July 20, 2024 from 2 – 5 PM at the Brewitt Funeral Home, 9 Pleasant St., Epping, NH. A Graveside Service will be held on Monday, July 22, 2024 at 1 PM at the Exeter Cemetery. For more information, please visit brewittfuneralhome.com.
