Dorothy Carpano

Dover – Dorothy Carpano, 106, of Dover, New Hampshire passed away peacefully on Friday, June 28 at Bellamy Fields surrounded by her loving family.

She was born February 5, 1918, in Portsmouth, New Hampshire to Arthur and Martha (Clough) Joy.

Dorothy certainly had a zest life. She was always upbeat and no matter the location she and her husband of over 77 years, Vincent and two children called home, she made life-long friends and connections that lasted through her long and glorious life. An avid reader, bridge player and conversationalist, Dorothy spent her life making a good home for her family.

She is predeceased by her husband of over 77 years, Vincent Carpano; siblings Lawrence Joy, Vilda Reikert, Roscoe Joy, Gladys Caswell, Roland Joy, Alden Joy and Robert Joy. Survivors include son Guy Carpano and his wife Lynn of Dover, Nancy Sugarman of California; grandchildren Susan Livingston and Brett Lovejoy. Many nieces and nephews, too many to name, but Dorothy will be missed by all that knew her and loved her.

A celebration of her life will be held at a later date.
