ForbesNYT 'Strands' #127 Hints, Spangram And Answers For Monday, July 8th

Another day, another dollar. Or at least another New York Times Strands grid to solve. The 128th Strands, to be precise. The latest game on the NYTs Games App is a lot of fun—a classic twist on those word grid games we played as kids. The big difference? Every single letter on the grid belongs to a word, and every word belongs to a theme.

I’m here to help you solve this without having to use any of the game’s official hints. Let’s dive right in!

All Today’s Strands Answers

  • LI
  • MU
  • CO
  • SC
  • PA

If you need extra help, spoilers below!

Here’s the full list of words:

  • MURAL

Today’s Strands Breakdown

Not a super hard Strands today. Funnily enough, I saw LITHOGRAPH almost instantly despite it probably being the trickiest word on here. Pretty soon after that I spotted MUSEUM, though there were actually two competing ways it could be spelled. When neither worked, I figured it was part of the spangram and worked backwards until I found that. Only four words remained, and while there were some tricky parts—PAINT could be spelled a couple different ways and it wasn’t until I found the ING that I solved that one—but once I had that and MURAL the last two fell quickly enough.

How did you do on your Strands today? Let me know on Twitter and Facebook.
