Only By The Night

How to make an otherwise boring sunset a little more interesting: use filters. What I have here is a Coking P197 warming filter which gives the nice reds in the sky and a polariser to get a longer exposure for the water for some extra smoothness.

 

The bottom part of the shot is another take without the filter. Bit of photoshop DRI to even out the light and single out the exposures, then some cleaning (i have a very dirty sensor), Noiseware to clean it up and a whack with a Smart Sharpen filter.
