Mono Lake

Mono Lake is a beautiful lake with these unusual rock formations called Tufa. Arrived South Tufa the day before in the afternoon to check the road for sunset and sunrise for next day. The only thing is that the road is partly unpaved, google might take you to the road that river flowing ahead, you had to turn back to 395 and took another one… When we finally arrived at the South Tufa in the afternoon, we were thrilled and surprised by the number and beauty of these incredible God made structures on the lake... There is an easy boardwalk trail down to the Lake. The views are magnificent and beautiful. This lake is often used as the face of 'wish you were here' postcard, and deservedly so.

Old, unique, and full of personality… The Tufas are otherworldly, but you need to search to find the best views. Here is the photo of blue hour before sunrise, probably before blue hour. Not so many people in the early morning. There was the windy warning that day around the region, not perfect reflection.
