Arizona Christmas Escape-25

This image is from the 28th of December returning to Phoenix between Flagstaff and Sedona.I try to shoot this composition where it fits into my travels on a regular basis, I love the around the corner set up that draws your eye and keeps you searching an image.

This set up actually allowed me to have the around the bend comp as well as a lead off that makes you want to figure out what is also down the valley so keeps your eyes on the image a few seconds longer than without this.

This shot is on one of the top 5 scenic highways in the US between Flagstaff and Sedona and as the sign says about ½ mile before the Slide Rock state park.

This was a 43 acre family apple orchard homestead donated to the state after the owner’s passing. Today this is popular area for picnics and a place to beat the heat of summer with its shaded deep canyon keeping temperatures low in the hot surroundings.

I took this with my D750 and Tamron SP 24-70mmmm 2.8 G2 Lens at 70mm 1/60s, f/16 ISO 100 processed in LR, PS +Lumenzia,

Disclaimer: My style is a study of romantic realism as well as a work in progress.
