Arizona Christmas Escape-9

This is another scene from Schnebly Hill Road though I am sure it was more impressive from the top of the hill I made do with my shot location and the drizzle was grating on my nerves at this point anyway.

What this little side trip demonstrated for me was that Sedona is lovely from all angles, that it is just minutes from one gorgeous location to the next and that I will be back to refill my shot bag soon.

The road is roughly 27km long and starts somewhat paved but after you have made it about 2km it gets really rough and there are few easy turn arounds.

The road is completely dirt, uphill as well as full of jutting rocks looking for mufflers and oil pans. It is better to have an off road type vehicle with minimum 8” clearance, it’s not for the faint of heart but “To the victor the spoils”.

I took this with my D750 and Tamron SP 24-70mm 2.8 G2 Lens at 70mm 1/10s, f/9 ISO 100 processed in LR, PS +Lumenzia

Disclaimer: My style is a study of romantic realism as well as a work in progress.
