State of the Salmon - Sockeye
Our partnership with State of the Salmon, a program co-founded by the Wild Salmon center and Ecotrust, has enabled us to help shape their online identity and develop online visualizations of the data that exists about the health of salmon in the North Pacific.
Turning their raw data into a thing of beauty was actually quite fun. They came to us with PDF reports, Excel files, napkin doodles, big smiles, loads of ambition - and asked us to make it accessible to all.
We created several visualizations that allow visitors to interact with the information in ways that speak to their specific personality. For people who fancy maps, data was plotted visually. More statistically-minded people have access to rows and columns.
Everyone in the middle gets to play with the wiggly amoeba data clusters.
