Tasman Island III

This is another go at a frame of Tasman Island from 2020. The first version always bothered me and wasn't what I was looking for from a five minute exposure.

I have also borrowed a little sea on the right from another pic from the same spot. Could have done with a wider lens on the walk.

Tasman Island has Australia's highest operational lighthouse at 276m above sea level. The lighthouse, just visible in the centre of the island, was erected in 1906 and is constructed of curved, cast iron plates.

The land immediately to the north of the passage is Cape Pillar but more specifically, the high prominence known as the "The Blade", so named for the very narrow spine of columnar dolerite that runs directly at the island. There is a lookout at the very top of The Blade (262m ASL) - a single block of very exposed stone wide enough for one - totally not for the faint-hearted!

15 stop Nisi IR ND filter.
