The Ties that Bind

As I was photographing this Japanese fishing float and thinking about my Grandpa (who had loads of these in his house when I was young) and my Dad (who learned to tie knots from him) I was thinking how the knots and string are a bit like a family tree. So many things that tie us all together. They are both gone now but the connections, memories and love remain.
