Baltic Exchange - stained glass

The Baltic Exchange (all things shipping trade) was blown up by Irish Terrorists in 1992 and in addition to killing people the stained glass dome was largely destroyed along with the building (now demolished) - conservators reclaimed most of the pieces and this is the result of it being put back together over a lengthy period. Personally I'm not sure about stained glass but the craftsmanship is beyond dispute. The National Maritime Museum house it because of the obvious connections. Glass is clever stuff - I think the clever bits of it in front of my camera are very pretty too!

Worth a View On Black I think
