Liet International is an annual international music competition celebrating European minority and regional languages. The song contest was invented and developed in 2002 to give modern bands who sing in a minority language a stage. It is organised by the Frisian foundation Liet International in close collaboration with its European partners. Since 2008, Liet International has been under the patronage of the Secretary General of the Council of Europe.
