Jack London State Historic Park

Eucalyptus was introduced in California before Jack London's time. Eucalyptus was believed by many to be the solution for the lumber supply shortage.

 

Jack London planted 80,000 trees in this land. Another bold experimental by Jack. Unfortunately the experiment failed as the trees were only useful as firewood. But Jack never gave up. He wasn't afraid to try new things.
