Rainbow Road - the Long Walk to Equality

A permanent rainbow road was revealed on Hanlan's Point, the historic location of Canada’s inaugural Pride celebration in 1971.

 

"The Long Walk to Equality" was unveiled ahead of Pride Month in late May at Hanlan's Point in Toronto, Ontario. The rainbow pathway, crafted by artist Travis Myers, pays homage to the noteworthy queer past of Hanlan's Point while honouring themes of love, equality, and hope.
