Seriously, I don't think I ever saw one of them barges zoom past like that, as if she was a frkn speedboat. Just look at those flags hanging from the foremast!

 

Also, isn't it strange how the "Time Machine" movie portraits the Eloi, who will nonchalantly watch one of their own drown, as the good guys? Whereas the Morl... oh wait I get it! She's going so fast because people kept jumping in the river and dragging her on land, and that kept ruining the timetable as well as the paint job. Hence she's electing to speed, so anyone who tries that can't catch up with her. Yeah, that makes sense! It also makes one heck of a wake.
