A view across the mouth of the River Dart to Kingswear Castle

A view to Kingswear Castle, built along with Dartmouth Castle (hidden below me), in the late 15th century to guard the entrance of the river. In times of danger a chain could be stretched between the two.

Kingswear Castle is now a holiday let owned by the prestigious Landmark Trust who specialise in restoring important old properties for holiday rentals.
