Its Aliens
Shiprock rises 1,583 feet above the high-desert plain of the Navajo Nation in San Juan County, New Mexico with the "Northern Lights" giving an eerie glow to the night sky.
This was an unexpected bonus to this trip. We were planning on shooting the Milky Way this night but our workshop leader realized that the northern lights would be really active and was able to get a Navajo guide last minute so we could go shoot at this location.
What a bonus, it was very unusual to see the "Northern Lights" this far south, but this night people where reporting seeing the lights as far south as Florida and the Bahamas.
