I am a passionate photographer who has acquired my skills self-taught.
Born and raised in Cologne, I live in Pulheim, Germany and explore the world from here with my camera.
I have been fascinated by photography since my earliest youth and have been seriously involved with it since 1973.
I worked with different SLR cameras and tried out new techniques and styles again and again.
I currently use a Nikon Z 8 and lenses with different focal lengths and my "always there" camera, the Sony RX 100M6.
Of course, my iPhone is always with me and serves as a "really always with me" camera.
I don't have a special focus in photography, but photograph everything that I consider a worthwhile subject.
Be it the beauty of nature, impressive architecture or fascinating people, I record my impressions with my camera and try to capture the special moments and moods.
For me, photography is not just a hobby, but a passion that inspires me every day.
I look forward to sharing my experiences and images with others and discovering the world through the lens of my camera.

Ich bin ein leidenschaftlicher Fotograf, der autodidaktisch seine Fähigkeiten erworben hat.
Geboren und aufgewachsen in Köln, lebe ich in Pulheim und erkunde von hier aus die Welt mit meiner Kamera.
Seit meiner frühesten Jugend hat mich die Fotografie fasziniert, und seit 1973 habe ich mich ernsthaft damit beschäftigt. Dabei habe ich mit verschiedenen Spiegelreflexkameras gearbeitet und immer wieder neue Techniken und Stile ausprobiert.
Aktuell nutze ich eine Nikon Z8, mit verschiedenen Brennweiten und meine "Immer-dabei-Kamera", die Sony RX 100M6.
Natürlich ist auch mein iPhone stets dabei und dient als "Wirklichimmerdabeikamera".
Ich habe keine speziellen Schwerpunkte in der Fotografie, sondern fotografiere alles, was mir als lohnenswertes Motiv erscheint. Sei es die Schönheit der Natur, beeindruckende Architektur oder faszinierende Menschen, ich halte meine Eindrücke mit meiner Kamera fest und versuche, die besonderen Momente und Stimmungen einzufangen.
Für mich ist Fotografie nicht nur ein Hobby, sondern eine Leidenschaft, die mich jeden Tag aufs Neue inspiriert.
Ich freue mich darauf, meine Erfahrungen und Bilder mit anderen zu teilen und die Welt durch die Linse meiner Kamera zu entdecken.

Wer durch seine vielen interessanten Sets stöbert, wird mit kunstvollen Kompositionen, einem Blick für das Besondere und einem ausgesprochenen Gespür für Farben und Arrangements belohnt. Selbst für häufig verwendete Motive findet er immer neue, eigene Blickwinkel, so dass es in seinem Photostream nie langweilig wird. Weiter so - ich will noch viel lernen!!

He has also been very generous in sharing his knowledge, taking the time to comment on my photos, and showing his wonderful sense of humor. His photos are really beautiful and very diverse, so they are always interesting. It is amazing that he can so skillfully photograph landscapes, animals, macros, and portraits – and he makes it look so easy. Thanks, Werner, for sharing your work with us!
