I am an American but more importantly, a member of the world community. Since i cannot travel as much as i wish, your pictures take me there.

I enjoy looking at all your work, professional and amateur, becuz i believe that it is as much the subject as the technique that makes great pictures and that timing and luck are just as important as a photographer's skills. And every picture says something about the photographer. It's all good.

I photograph glass a LOT, because i love what happens to light when it passes through the glass. Many viewers of my pics think i have a special collection of glass. Not really. I decided a long time ago that i was not willing to spend huge amounts of money on art glass, which i love passionately. Instead i decided to make my own art, using glass. In many ways i use glass like children use crayons. All my glass is used and flawed, bought at a thrift store that uses it's proceeds to feed the poor. When i buy glass, it is becuz it "talks" to me. When i finally create an image i like with it and find it no longer "talks" to me, i donate it.

I wish to thank the flickr community for your beautiful and thoughtful views of our world. You have expanded mine in so many ways. Thank you for your visits, kind comments and kind hearts. You inspire me to try harder and learn more.

Thank you Margeois for the photography and to steal a quote from Diane Arbus: “I really believe there are things nobody would see if I didn’t photograph them". That quote applies to you and your wonderful glass photography, I would never look at glass in the real world in the way I do now if it wasn't for you. Marg… Read more

Margeois we get caught up in self and tend not to think of others which is very bad and something I think I have done with you because its only today I thought to write this. It should have been written a long ago. For many years you have bought beauty, colour and exquisite visuals to my feed which, although you don't know it have bought light to days when the darkness was impenetrable. You are truly one of the most unique photographers and nicest people I have met on Flickr. May your light shine on and your ship rock on peaceful seas. Greta

Margie brings magic into the world and shows the world from such an unusual angle and through such fragile and strong fabric as glass. This alone is beautiful. There is a spiritual, if not mythical touch in it for me, because of all the light and quietness. She is a sensitive and creative observer and shows that it doesn't need long trips or adventure to find art.

I noticed that Margie had not had a testimonial since 2016. However, her work with glass and light is as original, creative, beautiful and intriguing as ever. Let's hope she keeps it up and shares it with us for a long time to come.

Margie is a true genius with light, color, and composition. I very much like abstractions and inventive use of color -- and I love glass. Margie is a true genius with light, color, and composition. I very much like abstractions and inventive use of color -- and I love glass. Margie puts it all together and is one of the truly dazzling photographers here on Flickr. I have learned much from her photos and, to make it just perfect, she has become a true friend here, sharing stories and insights. IMHO, her work deserves a gallery at MOMA, it is that good. I look forward to seeing her creativity every day and being inspired by her talent. Well done, my friend.

This is the first time I do this act on FLICKR, but I have to do it! Visit the gallery of Margeois is like to enter into the 4th dimension. We lose our own marks to find news one, hers, and it works each time! Margie's universe is glass, cold and hard glass, but she knows how to give it the heat and the reflect of her soul, to make it become sweet and tender, like an aniseed drops striped of peppermint. I must say that I was completely hermetic to abstract art, in all its forms, before clicking on this gallery. I must also say that I was very excited (and a little bit proud) when one day she commented one of my photo and followed me, poor amateur photographer I am !!!! This girl must have a legitimate place in a museum of modern art, ladies and gentlemen, say it loud around you ! Bravo and thank you for sharing Margie ! Thierry from France.

Margie is one of the most inspirational and original contributors I have found on flickr. Some pictures tell a story, Margie's images have a way of warmly inviting you into them to make your own conclusions, an ever delightful journey. Always considered and generous to others who's work she comments on and one of the people that make flickr a real community not just a forum, I have found her comments and encouragement a real nudge when questioning myself, as we all do. If you have Margeois on your side, you're winning, even if you're not competing. I have been meaning to write this for a long time. Many regards to you Margie Timm Green :-)

I met Margie through another one of my flickr contacts, BKHagar (Kim). Margie's vision and use of light are original and captivating. She takes the time to comment on many of my photos and is always a ray of sunshine. The artistic connection is definitely there between us, and I am glad we have met here on Flickr.
