Sometimes a City Pulse Is Calm

Dear Admin,
I appreciate the group clarification ... many are quite vague, or don't follow the parameters the admins themselves set up.

I live in NYC and can say that I often experience quiet times in this city, despite the notion that 'the city never sleeps.' It can be surprising to find how quiet it can be, even on a noisy street, once one is several floors up.

Cheers

Still, there's no pulse if there's no life. There are many Flickr groups that focus on cities, architecture, buildings etc. I would think that the distinction of this group would be that there'd be people and action (even if it is sedate action) in the photos. It is of course up to the administrator to choose and to enforce as desired.

I hesitated to join this group because of the description. I'm old and live in the desert, LOL. But here I see all these landscapes with no people, much less any action. Fine photos, but do they belong here? I guess I won't worry about adding my few "active" photos, then.
