I've got to say that I like your original idea, John. Skies of any color besides blue.
There are plenty of existing groups that display general sky shots. If this becomes "just another sky group," it doesn't stand a chance.
The trouble is with defining, "What is blue?" -- so that it can be avoided.
Many sunset shots are obvious. If it's entirely orange/red/yellow, then it belongs.
But....
Is pale blue - blue?
Is a completely desaturated sky (now gray) - blue? What if before the desaturation occurred, the sky was blue (or what if it wasn't)?
What about night skies? Black with stars? Not blue, but do you want them in the pool?
At what point does teal/aqua become blue? How much green is needed to say, "this is no longer blue."
At what point does violet/indigo become blue? How much red is needed to say, "this is no longer blue."
Is it subjective? Administrator judges and has final say?
Is it objective? i.e. a strict definition (based on RGB/CMYK/HSV??) is created and enforced? How does that work practically?
What about when there are multiple colors including blue?
Just some stuff to think about. Thanks for the invite!

Definitely some good ideas here, and you're right: I should never have second-guessed myself.
So, I've eliminated some of my blue pictures. Anything already posted will stay. I'll update the rules. It'll be totally my discretion, completely subjective and arbitrary. But I will be lenient.
There. Problem solved. Thanks!
