Family Portraiture Event Question ?

bumpy visitor [deleted] says:

Dear Flickr's

Bit of a dilemma here, and before you jump the gun. I fully understand that it's the photographer behind the DSLR that makes a difference, and having the right equipment defiantly helps in low light situations. In addition, I do have very good collection of lenses, mostly for a full-frame, few primes, except the nifty fifty.

I plan to photograph family events such as: on-location portraiture, baptisms and eventually weddings. I do have one body 7D great little camera, but not a stellar fighter in low light. My question to you is, for the main camera. What would make more sense to you for the long haul?

Canon 6D or Canon 5D Mark III ???

Sample of my work.

I photograph kids, but it's all basically the same thing.
I use 5DMK2s. I really don't worry about the body, it's more about the glass IMO.
For weddings obviously you want the best you can buy, times two.
