You may want to check Costco. I cannot remember the exact price, but it was attractive if I were a first time D-SLR buyer, and I hadn't seen Nikon's entry-level D-SLRs.

I think Best Buy is following "Downtown Camera's" price trend. When I started looking around for Rebel XTi's regular price ...Downtown camera sold it for $699. Black's sells it for $745. |

Downtown camera is on 55 Queen Street East |

Best Buy's deal is really good, since they throw in the accessory kit in. battery grip, extra batery and a canon bag, which is worth about $300 separately.

Black's will match any advertised price for the most part. Not beat, but match. When you take into account all their locations (and that you can return a product to any one of them you please), I tend to get them to match the local store's prices if they have the stock. Any servicing goes back to the camera manufacturer anyways.
