Hello fellow film enthusiasts, introducing myself as the new admin of the group and someone quite active here on Flickr. If you wish to know more about me, please check my "about" section as I do keep that up to date and filled with information. |

Thanks for taking the initiative! I'm happy with the group as it is, personally. As long as the rules are enforced, anyway.

I'm not sure how familiar you are with any scripting languages like Python, but the Flickr API (www.flickr.com/services/api/) is very comprehensive and fairly straightforward to use. I do all of my photo tagging/group & album adding etc using a Python script and it saves loads of time. You could probably do a lot of the maintenance including the file deletes from a script. You can certainly retrieve tags, comments, descriptions and exif data on which to base your admin decisions.

Slightly Crewed: So glad you took on the roll as Admin. I just recently got back into film and started posting to film groups. My question is whether my path to digital conversion is acceptable? I send my film off to The Darkroom for processing. I then take a photo of the negative with my mirrorless and macro lens. And finally, convert that negative image using Darktable Negadoctor. I always list camera, lens and film info.
