How "untwist" film before scanning?

I'm pretty new on analog photography and just got some rolls from the lab and I was wondering how do I "untwist" them since it's so annoying to scan on its default state.

What do you mean by "untwist"? Are they curling?

Well, since english is not my first language, some words can be tricky for me...
Imagine you just got your developed film roll from the lab, and you put all the negative out of the roll. If you just relese the film, it ill twist al along itself. I wanna get rid of it for a clean cut and scanning.

Your English is good! If they're twisting I would put them in an archival sheet and put them under a heavy book for a few days. If you don't have archival sheets you can use any material that won't damage them or stick to them. Plastic sheets are a good option.

my old films (15yo) could not be un-twisted. They remained curly. I put them in archival sheet and bend opposite around a cylinder (around 10cm diameter) fix there, and left for 2 month... Guess what ... they remained curly. Curly negatives produce newton rings on flat scanners and loss sharpness. See may recent post, I've got an alternative way of dealing with it.
