Planning to visit NZ for the third time. But this time, i would like to try the north part of South Island. Like to seek some advice if it worth while to go there or should i stick to the usual southern scenic road?

Top of the South is really worth a visit with the Marlborough Sounds wine regions on the North East while on the South West you have the Able Tasman National Park. Heaps to see plenty of photo opportunities. It is quiet a few years since I have been there but used to work in the Nelson area.

There is some fantastic scenery at the north end of the South Island. You should certainly check it out if you haven't been there before. I visited the Nelson area and did some backpacking on the Abel Tasman trail. I would have liked more time up there though.
