an ancient fungus approx 500 yrs old grows on a fallen log in the Lake Okataina Forest. this fungus is about 2 meters in diameter and very strong and you could sit on it. It is covered with lichen and other tiny fungi. I shot this as we were doing a forest survey for work 120 months ago (permalink) |

I went out early this morning just after sunrise, the garden was still wet from last nights rain, this small 4cm violet was still wet with micro sized rain drops. It looked so pretty with the early morning sun light and the rain drops glistening on its petals. This is from our Garden in Rotorua. 120 months ago (permalink) |
