The Lok Sabha election is scheduled to be held between April-May 2024 to elect the members of the 18th Lok Sabha. The tenure of the Lok Sabha ends on June 16, 2024. In the last elections, the BJP-led NDA won 353 seats out of the 543, the Congress-led UPA won 91 seats, and other parties secured 98 seats. The 2019 Lok Sabha elections were held from April 11 – May 19 and the counting of votes took place on May 23. Along with the Lok Sabha elections, Assembly elections in the states of Andhra Pradesh, Arunachal Pradesh, Odisha and Sikkim were also held simultaneously, as well as by-polls of 22 seats of the Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly.
