Corey Seager and Vladimir Guerrero Jr. were both hit by a pitch over the weekend, and both should be considered day-to-day until a clearer timetable is established. While the Cleveland Guardians have activated SP Gavin Williams from the injured list, the San Francisco Giants are hoping to do the same for Blake Snell and Kyle Harrison within the next week or so. The Philadelphia Phillies received good news on Bryce Harper and Kyle Schwarber, as both of these lefties seem to have avoided serious injury.

MLB Injury Report: Starting Pitchers

Blake Snell, San Francisco Giants - Groin

UPDATED 7/4: Everything is still lining up for Snell to return to the San Francisco rotation early next week.

Snell will make another rehab start on Wednesday of this week, and the Giants are planning to have Snell start for the big-league club the following week against Toronto.

Gavin Williams, Cleveland Guardians - Elbow

Williams was activated from the 60-day injured list, and while he posted a 4.76 ERA across six rehab starts, he rounded into form over the last couple of outings, as he allowed just two earned runs with a 10:2 K/BB ratio over his last two starts (9 IP).

Jared Jones, Pittsburgh Pirates - Lat

UPDATED 7/4: Jones was placed on the 15-day IL with a strain in his right lat.

Edward Cabrera, Miami Marlins - Shoulder

Cabrera made another rehab start over the weekend, but he needed 67 pitches to get through 3 IP. The plan was for him to push five innings in this start, but he had to labor a bit through this one.

Kyle Harrison, San Francisco Giants - Ankle

UPDATED 7/4: Harrison should get the ball on Saturday.

Harrison is expected to be activated from the IL on Monday (7/1), and he should start one of the games in the latter part of the week.

Casey Mize, Detroit Tigers - Leg

UPDATED 7/4: Mize was placed on the injured list with this hamstring strain.

Mize was removed from his start on Sunday with a leg issue. It could have just been some cramping, but the team was cautious and removed him after 5.1 IP.

Nick Lodolo, Cincinnati Reds - Finger

UPDATED 7/4: Lodolo logged a live BP session earlier this week, and the expectation is that he'll be ready to return early next week.

Jordan Montgomery, Arizona Diamondbacks - Knee

UPDATED 7/4: Montgomery was placed on the injured list due to inflammation in his right knee. Mongtomery posted a 7.59 ERA and 1.88 WHIP across his last five starts.

MLB Injury Report: Relief Pitchers

Liam Hendriks, Boston Red Sox - Elbow

Hendriks should join the Boston bullpen after the All-Star break, but before the end of the month. He’s been throwing, and will likely require a couple of rehab outings, but he’s nearing his return from Tommy John surgery.

Jordan Romano, Toronto Blue Jays - Elbow

UPDATED 7/4: Romano underwent surgery to address his elbow impingement. With the team saying he'll be shut down from throwing for six weeks, expect his absence in total to extend beyond two months.

MLB Injury Report: Hitters

Juan Soto, New York Yankees - Hand

Soto has a bit of a hand issue, but he was able to play on Sunday. It might be something the team has to manage but doesn’t seem overly concerning.

Bryce Harper, Philadelphia Phillies - Hamstring

It sounds like Harper may not be activated once he’s eligible, but his absence shouldn't extend much beyond that. They believe he will be back before the All-Star Break, which begins on Monday, July 15.

Kyle Tucker, Houston Astros - Shin

Tucker has taken some swings off a tee, but this contusion has definitely lingered longer than many expected, me included.

Royce Lewis, Minnesota Twins - Adductor

UPDATED 7/4: Lewis was placed on the injured list with an adductor strain. The hope is that he won't miss much time past his minimum required stay.

Vladimir Guerrero, Toronto Blue Jays - Hand

Guerrero took a fastball off his hand, but initial tests show nothing was broken or fractured. Consider him day to day at this juncture.

Kyle Schwarber, Philadelphia Phillies - Groin

The plan is for Schwarber to be activated as soon as he’s eligible, which is the beginning of next week.

Corey Seager, Texas Rangers - Hand/Wrist

Seager was hit by a pitch on Saturday night on his hand/wrist. While X-rays came back negative, he was not in the Texas lineup on Sunday.

Michael Harris, Atlanta Braves - Hamstring

Harris is progressing in his recovery from a Grade 2 hamstring strain, but it’s been reported that he’s yet to begin running. With that knowledge, his return likely won’t come until after the All-Star break.

Josh Jung, Texas Rangers - Wrist

UPDATED 7/4: Structurally speaking, everything is sound with Jung's wrist, but the lingering soreness continues to impede his return to the lineup. There's still no time table on his return to action.

Jung continues to deal with some soreness and/or inflammation in his surgically repaired wrist, and recent reports are that he’ll be visiting a specialist. He won’t be back until after the All-Star break.

Bo Bichette, Toronto Blue Jays - Elbow

UPDATED 7/4: Bichette is dealing with an elbow contusion that occurred during Wednesday's game. Consider him day-to-day at this juncture.

Joey Ortiz, Milwaukee Brewers - Neck

UPDATED 7/4: After missing a few games due to some neck soreness, the team decided to place Ortiz on the injured list.

Thairo Estrada, San Francisco Giants - Wrist

A left wrist sprain has sent Estrada to the injured list, and he’ll be out for the entirety of this scoring period.

Joey Ortiz, Milwaukee Brewers - Neck

Ortiz has been dealing with neck tightness over the last couple of days, though he did appear as a pinch-runner on Saturday. He was out of the lineup on Sunday.

Gabriel Moreno, Arizona Diamondbacks - Thumb

Moreno could rejoin the big-league club as early as Tuesday.

Taylor Ward, Los Angeles Angels - Head

Ward was hit in the head by a pitch and was removed from the game. The good news is that he cleared concussion protocol, and he can be considered day-to-day.
