Georgia is determined to obtain the status of an EU candidate country and is making efforts to implement all the requirements ahead of a crucial assessment by the European Commission due in June.

Despite domestic tensions, the society in Georgia remains deeply pro-European and is opposing hybrid attacks from Russia, which still nourishes hopes of bringing the country into its sphere of influence.
