Christine Brown is reflecting on her journey.
Nearly three years after announcing her split from Kody Brown, the Sister Wives star shared a look into life on her own terms.
“Over the last few years, many people have reached out to me, looking for the courage to make a change,” Christine wrote in a July 7 Instagram post. “Let this be the day that you step out into the uncomfortable, unfamiliar or even the scary. Change is scary. But we can do scary things.”
Alongside her message, which included hashtags encouraging her followers to “Make a Change” and “Believe in Yourself,” Christine shared a video compilation of photos comparing herself prior to her split from Kody to how she looks now, nearly a year after tying the knot with husband David Woolley.
Set to Pink’s “Courage,” older photos show Christine looking sad and tearful before the chorus drops and she shows off her new hairstyle in a string of refreshed selfies.
Naturally, Christine’s followers found the post motivating. “Needed this right now,” one commenter wrote. “It's like a sign.”
Others were simply in awe of Christine’s grit.
“Everything we want is outside of our comfort zone,” another wrote. “Congratulations on making that move!”
Christine—who shares Aspyn, 28, Mykelti, 27, Paedon, 24, Gwendlyn, 21, Ysabel, 20, and Truely, 13, with Kody—shared she and Kody had parted ways in 2021.
“After more than 25 years together, Kody and I have grown apart and I have made the difficult decision to leave him,” the 52-year-old wrote in a statement at the time. “We will continue to be a positive presence in each other’s lives as we parent our beautiful children and support our wonderful family.”
Kody subsequently split from spiritual wives Meri Brown and Janelle Brown in 2023 and 2022, respectively—leaving only Robyn Brown, his legal wife, still in the marriage.
And in addition to her big change in 2021, Christine is looking ahead to new changes as she enters married life again with David.
“I love being a newlywed in my 50s!!” Christine wrote in another Instagram post last month. “A little older and a little wiser.”
