Public Policy and Domestic Violence

Enlace is dedicated to leveraging our services for DV survivors so that we can help effect change at individual, household, and community levels.

We also recognize that systemic socioeconomic and racial inequities disproportionately undermine the health and wellbeing of immigrant communities. As such, Enlace works proactively to shape and support policy solutions that both center the health and wellness of immigrant communities and also counteract the systemic inequities that drive and exacerbate DV.

Community-Centered Legislative Agendas

Enlace works in collaboration with former clients, advocates, and community partners to craft and amplify inclusive, equitable policy solutions that help shape a community of care for DV survivors and their families.

Our legislative agendas’ policy priorities are framed through client and community input—with an understanding that DV intersects with a number of community and systems-level issues.

We believe DV survivors are the most knowledgeable changemakers to help guide proactive, intentional policies that support DV survivors and mitigate DV.

Sign-On Letters

Enlace is open to providing sign-on letters in support of legislative priorities aligned with our mission-driven services. For questions about sign-on letters, please email our Director of Advancement, Matt Mirarchi, at mmirarchi@enlacenm.org.
