Terrifying moment masked Edinburgh youths on e-bike 'confront driver' on street

The incident unfolded on the city's Dalry Road in broad daylight as one eyewitness captured footage of a car driving off before two youths on an e-bike appear to give chase - running a red light in the process.

The terrifying moment two masked youths on an e-bike allegedly confront a driver on a busy Edinburgh road before appearing to run a red light has been captured on camera.

The incident is understood to have taken place on Dalry Road, near the busy crossroads at Haymarket Station, on Saturday afternoon, June 8, in broad daylight as one eyewitness filmed the pair fleeing the scene.

According to the witness, the youths, clad in black clothing with their faces covered, blocked the road and attempted to confront the driver of a white vehicle.

As the footage starts, the vehicle can be seen driving away with one youth jumping on the back of the bike having come to a stop as they appear to chase down the same white vehicle.

Approaching the crossroads, the bike then appears to run a red light to continue following the vehicle and nearly collides with a car as several shocked on-lookers can be seen watching on.
