Laurie Ann Greco (Cox) OBITUARY

Passed away peacefully after a long battle with cancer on May 20, 2024 surrounded by her loving family. Laurie was born on November 25, 1951 in Des Moines, Iowa to Laverne and Marjorie Cox. She was raised in Des Moines and graduated from North High School in 1970. She attended and graduated from Des Moines Area Community College with a degree in Medical Assistance. Laurie married her high school sweetheart Luigi Greco in 1973 in Des Moines and lived in Ankeny until they moved to California in 1978. She was an accomplished administrative assistant in the food industry, along with her husband, for over 30 years. After she retired, she enjoyed working at Gene’s Fine Foods and meeting new people and sharing in the community. Family was everything to Laurie. She enjoyed shopping for antiques, taking care of animals, spending time with friends, and hosting family gatherings. Laurie was a strong, caring, loving, and funny woman who was adored by all who knew her. Laurie is survived by her husband Luigi Greco of 50 years, daughters Andrea Powers [Bill Powers, Husband], and Alicia Endean [Mike Endean, Husband], and her pride and joy, her grandchildren Rylee, Avery, and Jackson Powers and Gianna Endean. Along with many nieces and nephews, and two dear sisters-in-law, Maria Mabardy and Roseanne Steffes. Family and friends are invited to a celebration of life at Graham-Hitch, 4167 First Street, Pleasanton, on Sunday, July 7th, at 3:00 p.m. Laurie’s favorite holiday to celebrate with family and friends was the 4th of July.
