Jason Matthew Krane OBITUARY

Jason passed away at the age of 53 from a heart attack. He was an outstanding academic student and attended De La Salle High School in Concord playing varsity soccer team. Jason achieved the highest rank of Eagle in Boy Scouts. He and his brother often played and swam in Krane Lake on Mt. Diablo where the family had acreage, now part of “Save Mt. Diablo” to become part of the Mt. Diablo State Park. He furthered his studies at the University of California, Davis, where he played on the soccer team. His professional career centered around survey engineering and construction, fields he was passionate about. Beyond his career, Jason enjoyed fishing and camping with his children.Jason is survived by his loving daughter Jessica (TJ Pickering), devoted son Bobby, mother, Roseann Rayes Krane, and brother Tim Krane (Kim), nephew Tobin, and Jason’s beloved grandchildren, Micah and Ophelia. He is preceded in death by his father, Walter Stephen Krane. Jason deeply loved his children and was very proud of them. His warm spirit and strength will be dearly missed by his family and all who had the privilege of knowing him. His service will be held at St. Isidore Church in Danville on July 16th at 10:30 a.m. Please no black for his Celebration of Life. Donations can made to UC Davis Comprehensive Cancer Center.
