Ferne E. Henderson OBITUARY

Ferne was born December 9, 1923 and died June 14, 2024, having achieved her 100 birthday. She was a descendant of a prominent pioneer family in Modoc County, CA. During her married life, she resided in Concord, CA for 48 years and in Rossmoor, Walnut Creek, CA for 20 years. She was active in many clubs at Rossmoor while her husband, John, was busy playing golf. After the death of her husband, she moved to Carlton Senior Living in Elk Grove to be near her sister. Ferne is preceded in death by her parents, husband John, son James, and brothers Floyd Duane Stimers & Orin Stimers. She is survived by her sister Faye Bundesen Christensen (Roy), and many nieces and nephews. She was loved dearly by all of us. A memorial service will be held at Carlton Senior Living, 6915 Elk Grove Blvd, Elk Grove, CA 95758 on Saturday, July 6, at 1:00 PM. Memorials may be made to Muscular Dystrophy Assoc, P.O.
