The time for Pride is upon us, and there’s a whole lineup of celebrations to add to your calendar. From parades and festivals to comedy shows, drag performances, film screenings, museum days and pool parties, here are all the ways to celebrate being gay in the Bay this year.

Sonoma County Pride 2024: Through July 21, various Sonoma County venues. Sonoma County’s huge lineup of events for Pride month includes the annual Pride flag raising and the 39th annual Sonoma County Pride Parade and Festival, plus a movie night, a Wigs & Waffles Drag Brunch, a pool party, a gay wine weekend and more. Pride at Children’s Discovery Museum: 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. June 1, Children’s Discovery Museum, 180 Woz Way, San Jose. Celebrate families of all types at CDM’s annual “Proud of My Family” event, featuring arts and crafts, a visitors parade, a Dance Zone, photo opportunities and other fun activities. $0 to $18. cdm.org/celebrate/community-celebrations/proud-of-my-family/

‘Building The Block Purple’ Pride Party: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. June 1, SF LGBT Center, 1800 Market St., San Francisco. SF LGBT Center and Building the Block are officially launching SF Pride season with a festive block party featuring local vendors, BIPOC-owned food trucks and live entertainment from Bay Area LGBTQ+ creators. South City Pride: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. June 1, 400 Grand Ave., South San Francisco. Join South San Francisco’s first citywide Pride event on the steps of City Hall, complete with the San Francisco Gay Men’s Chorus, a roller-skating rink, drag performances, local high school dance teams and dozens of food, craft and nonprofit vendors. Pacifica Pride Celebration: 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. June 1, Ingrid B. Lacy Middle School, 1427 Palmetto Ave., Pacifica. Head to the Pacifica Pride Celebration for a car parade, then stick around for a festival featuring food trucks, music, family activities and more from local artists and community groups. Filoli Pride Weekend: 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. June 1-2, Filoli Historic House & Garden, 86 Cañada Road, Woodside. Celebrate Pride with a weekend of creative performances and experiences including drag queen storytime, queer taiko, flower crown making and sound baths, all complemented by Filoli’s colorful decor, artwork and Pride-themed flower arrangements. $0 to $38. filoli.org/visit/pride/

Walnut Creek Pride 2024: June 1-15, various Walnut Creek venues. Walnut Creek Arts + Rec is celebrating Pride Month with Yoga in the Park, Drag Queen Storytime and Crafts, a Family Pride Pool Party, a Pride Night Cabaret, a Pet Pride Parade and Printmaking Workshop. Napa Valley Pride 2024: June 1-28, various Napa venues. Napa Pride highlights will include the fifth annual Pride Car Parade & After Party, Drag & Dance Shows at Blue Note Napa, a teen Pride barbecue, weekly mixers, dining experiences and wine tasting events. Prices vary. napapride.com/

Pride Afternoon Tea: Saturdays June 1-29, Palace Hotel, 2 New Montgomery St., San Francisco. This June, Palace Hotel will host its decadent afternoon tea but with a fun Pride twist. The pastry team has created delicacies with festive details, such as rainbows, sprinkles, confetti and more, served with tea in the Garden Court under the stunning 110-year-old glass dome. Clayton Pride Celebration: 10 a.m. June 2, Main St. Downtown Clayton. Step out for Clayton’s third annual  Pride Parade — this year with a “Clayton Marches with Pride and Stands with Love” theme — then stick around to enjoy arts and crafts, face painting, local vendors and delicious food. Richmond Pride Celebration: 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. June 2, Civic Center Plaza, Richmond. Richmond’s 10th annual Rainbow Pride will kick off with a parade starting at Nicholl Park and heading down to a festive Civic Center celebration featuring art, music and drag. Suisun City Pride Celebration: 12 to 5 p.m. June 2, Harbor Plaza, 520 Solano St., Suisun City. Celebrate diverse families, freedom to love and equal rights while making history at the first Suisun City Pride Event. Drag Me Downtown: June 6-27, various San Francisco venues. Mark your calendars for a series of fierce pop-up drag shows featuring some of San Francisco’s biggest drag names. Mortified Presents ‘MORT- PRIDE’: 7:30 p.m. June 7, Oasis, 298 11th St., San Francisco. Mortified will celebrate the most glorious month of the year with an all queer-themed show. CAFILM Pride: June 7-9, Smith Rafael Film Center, 1118 Fourth St., San Rafael. Celebrate Pride with film on the side. Pride Camp Out: June 7-9, Lupin Lodge, 20600 Aldercroft Heights Road, Los Gatos. Celebrate Pride at a picturesque, 100-acre, women-owned naturist resort in the Santa Cruz Mountains. San Mateo Pride Celebration: 10:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. June 8, San Mateo Central Park, 50 E. Fifth Ave., San Mateo. Bay Area Pride Fest: 12 to 6 p.m. June 9, California’s Great America, 4701 Great America Parkway, Santa Clara. Pride Day at Oracle Park: 11:35 a.m. June 15, Oracle Park, 24 Willie Mays Plaza, San Francisco. Join the SF Giants not only as they take on the Angels but in a celebration of Pride. Sausalito Pride 2024: June 20-22, various Sausalito venues. Pride with Good Medicine: 7:30 p.m. June 22, Lesher Center for the Arts, 1601 Civic Drive, Walnut Creek. After selling out venues throughout the country, the smash-hit all-Native Good Medicine comes to the Bay for a one-night-stand of stand-up.
