Dogfish Dash September 29, 2024
Join us for Dogfish Dash on Sunday, September 29! Registration is now open for this off-centered road race that starts and ends at Dogfish Head‘s Milton Brewery. The approximate distance for the 2024 Dogfish Dash is 3.81 miles (please note, final race route is subject to change, so distance could vary slightly) and proceeds helps nature by benefitting the Sussex County Land Trust
Last year’s route was loved by all so we again will be dashing through historic Milton and the surrounding nature views to make our way to the finish line. We are working with our longtime partner Seashore Striders for help in executing the event and accurate timing.
Registered Dashers will receive some sweet runner goodies that include a runner t-shirt and socks; plus a post-run party with live music and activities from this year's beneficiary. Dashers will receive two beverage tickets (21+ only) and some tasty post-run grub. We will continue the tradition of the "Recycled Costume Contest", so if you create an outfit crafted from recycled stuff, you'll be entered to win some sweet prizes. This year will feature some incredible prizes for the group with the best recycled costumes along with best dressed gal and best dressed dude!
Our friends from Sneakers4Good will be onsite collecting used running shoes. The positive impact of sneaker recycling goes further than your community. It helps improve the lives of people all around the world. Put those miles to good use and let Sneakers4Good take care of those old dashing shoes.

Packet Pick Up
Registered Dashers will receive some sweet runner goodies to include a runner t-shirt*, Dogfish Dash Socks and two beverage tickets (21+ only). We will have two packet pick-ups prior to race day. There will be NO Race Day packet pick up. More details to come, but here are the dates for planning.
- Wednesday September 25th in Rehoboth at Dogfish Head Brewings & Eats from 4pm-8pm
- Saturday September 28th in Milton at Dogfish Head Craft Brewery from 11am-4pm
- Happenings in the tasting room following

Recycled Costume Contest
Put on your recycling and crafting skills to the test for the Dogfish Dash Recycled Costume Contest! Make sure to pick up your recycled materials at packet pick up for the chance to win some sweet prizes! We will have some incredible prizes for the best dressed group, gal, and dude!
How it works:
- Pick up recycled materials at packet pick up and/or gather your own materials!
- Come up with a costume idea (bonus points if you can tie in our benevolence partner, Sussex County Land Trust)
- Snip, Glue, Staple, Tape, your costume together
- Wear your costume at the dash.
- Meet us at the stage between 8am - 8:30am on race day to enter to win some awesome prizes!
Fireside Chat
Kick off your dash weekend at the INN! On Friday, September 27th starting at 5pm, we will be fireside with our friends from Sussex County Land Trust to chat about all things nature, trails, and preservation!
The Fireside Chat is open to the public!

Beer & Benevolence
Dogfish is excited to again, run for nature and preserve the land by benefitting the Sussex County Land Trust. Sussex County Land Trust is a nonprofit conservation organization dedicated to protecting natural, cultural, agricultural and recreational resources through land preservation, stewardship, and education for today and tomorrow.
Some of their latest projects have included Hudson Park, where they are developing a trail head that connects to the Lewes-to-Georgetown Trail. Parking lots were completed in 2023 with phases 2 and 3 bringing a bathroom facility, playground, and restoration of the existing tree line.
They also have been working on the Forest of Broadkill Preserve. This area was known for logging and has several existing trails that Sussex County Land Trust has already completed renovations on. More plans for this site include a mountain bike trail, reforestation, and an area to enhance quail habitats.

- 3:00pm – 4:00pm: Check INN. Race packets will be provided in your rooms along with some additional goodness from the INN
- 5:00pm – 6:00pm: Fireside Chat with our friends at the Sussex County Land Trust
Saturday, September 28
- On your own, enjoy the beautiful place we call home or rest up for the race! Let the INN team help you set up reservations for tours and tables at our other DFH properties.
Sunday, September 29
- 7:00am – 7:30am: Light grab & go breakfast
- 7:30am: Reserved parking spots at the Milton Brewery for the Dash
- 9:00am: Dogfish Dash
- 12:00pm: Late Check Out, or add Sunday night at a discount!

Will there be beer to purchase?

Will brewery tours be available during the Saturday main event in Milton?
No we will no since the tasting room will be closed
Where should I park?
Parking at the Milton Brewery is first come first serve, so we recommend to plan ahead or car pool to make the best out of your experience! There will be overflow parking at both the Milton Elementary School (512 Federal St, Milton, DE 19968) and Mariner Middle School (16391 Harbeson Rd, Milton, DE 19968,).
