Strawberry Festival at Trinity Church

STARTING LINE LIVE SHOW & PARTY AT FORT ADAMS

Location: Fort Adams State Park
For the first time in the 118-year history of the Newport Bermuda Race, the starting line of iconic the 636-mile ocean race has moved off the shoreline of Fort Adams State Park and we are having a party to celebrate complete with live music, food trucks, the Gulf Stream Bar featuring Goslings Rum and Whalers Beer, games, and more FREE Family Fun.
The party starts at noon and a Starting Line Live Show with Commentary from North Sails and Bermuda Race Record Holder, Ken Read, and Professional Sailor and Coach Jesse Fielding will start at 1:45. They will provide expert narration and play-by-play on everything going down on the water. The first gun for the 170 boats wills be boat will be at 2:00 PM with waves up subsequent starts every ten minutes. Come celebrate!

History in the making. One of the five founding clubs of the USGA dating back to 1894, Newport Country Club, will play host to the 44th U.S. Senior Open Championship this June 26-30, 2024. This historic event will be the first U.S. Senior Open held in Newport, and the fifth USGA championship, including the inaugural held in 1895. This major championship features a field of 156 of the world’s best professional and amateur senior golfers (over the age of 50). Talk about epic.

Bristol Fourth of July Celebration

Game, set, match! Hot off Wimbledon, the top ATP World Tour pros have arrived in Newport to compete in the Infosys Hall of Fame Open July 14 - 21, 2024. Contested on the historic grass tennis courts of the International Tennis Hall of Fame, which have hosted all the legends of the sport since 1880, the tournament is the only event played on grass courts outside of Europe, and it offers the only opportunity to see professional men's tennis in the Northeast prior to the US Open.
