During OTAs, Head Coach Sean Payton spoke highly of Marvin Mims Jr.'s potential for 2024.

"I think we'll see a lot of growth from Year 1 to Year 2," Payton said on May 30.

A recent CBS Sports article furthered Payton's premise, as Chris Trapasso selected Mims as one of the second-year players ready for a breakout season.

"He averaged over 17 yards per catch with four missed forced tackles on 22 receptions with just one drop as a rookie," Trapasso wrote. "He was named to Second-Team All-Pro as a kick returner after averaging over 27 yards per tote and housing one kick for a 99-yard touchdown."

Trapasso also called Mims a "4.38 burner with impeccable hands and craftiness after the catch" who should benefit from increased opportunities after Jerry Jeudy was traded to the Browns this offseason.

Mims caught 22 passes for 377 yards and a touchdown and made the Pro Bowl as a return specialist in his first season with the Broncos

"Mims has the explosiveness and flashed enough in Year 1 to have earned starting slot duties in his second professional campaign," Trapasso wrote. "I expect big things."
