Broncos sign ILB Andre Smith

ENGLEWOOD, Colo. — Denver has added a veteran linebacker to its roster.

The Broncos signed veteran inside linebacker Andre Smith, the team announced Thursday.

Denver waived tight end Dylan Leonard with an injury settlement in a corresponding roster move.

Smith participated in the Broncos' mandatory minicamp as a tryout player.

A 2018 seventh-round pick, Smith has appeared in 62 career games. He played 11 games for the Falcons in 2023, notching 69 percent of the special teams snaps and 15 percent of the defensive snaps in the games in which he appeared.

During his career, Smith has played at least 60 percent of the special teams snaps during the contests in which he has appeared.

Smith has totaled 52 career tackles, two forced fumbles, two fumble recoveries, a pass defensed and a tackle for loss during his career.
