Vito John Cassan

Vito J. Cassan, age 94, loving husband and father, sadly left our world on June 30, 2024 after a long and happy life. Born in Rochester New York on August 30, 1929 to Vincenzo and Giovanna {Bufano} Casamassima. Vito is survived by his best friend and loving wife of 52 years Dagmar {Zahm}, his Son David Cassan (Zoe Zhang,) step-grandson Curtis Ci, daughters Donna Cassan, Wendy Lund {David}. His sons James and Matthew and his brother Ralph predeceased him. He attended Ohio State University, Bachelor 1952, played tackle for Ohio State football team under Woody Hayes, and Cornell University, Juris Doctor, 1955.A passionate and successful practicing Attorney in Rochester N.Y. and New York City, Assistant General Counsel at Power Authority, and Adjunct Professor of Environmental Law, Fordham University, Vito enjoyed traveling the world and enjoyed watching sports. Vito will be remembered and greatly missed by his wife, children and the many dear relatives and friends throughout the United States and Europe. He will forever be in our hearts.
