For all the Delawareans who get angry on the road or feel like other in-state drivers are a bit too aggressive for their liking, you might be onto something.

A new study named Delaware as one of the states with the most road rage in the United States.

Delaware is a top road rage state

Cars pass through the intersection with traffic lights out at Baynard Boulevard and West 18th Street in Wilmington as a wind and snow storm moves through the area in 2018.

Courtroomprove.com, a personal injury lawyer, compiled a report about which states pose the biggest threat when it comes to road rage. The report analyzed six key factors, including firearm incidents, speeding violations and aggressive driving accidents to rank each U.S. state based on their road rage severity.

Delaware ranks at No. 7 with a final road rage score of 69.6 on a scale of 40 to 100.

The First State reported 6.7 fatal accidents per 100,000 residents, 2.2 firearm-related road rage incidents per 100,000 residents and 2.3 speeding violations per 100,000 residents, the fifth most in the nation. Aggressive or careless driving is said to be a factor in 47.6% of accidents in Delaware, according to the report.
